This game will last for the entire convention

LANCER is an excellent TTRPG with a well crafted and engaging combat resolution system. Prefect is an old wargame that simulated the invasion of a planet. I hope you see where I'm going here.

A new planet has been found on the Outer Rim. Formally though to be a lifeless stretch of space splitting humanity in twain, a jewel like Gaia-World known as Throne was found by a lost scouting expedition. Everyone has a claim, from the inscrutable and decentralized group known as HORUS, to the ever expansive holdings of Harrison Armory, to the decadent Karrikin Baronies to the resplendent Union itself.

In this megagame, run across 6 sessions, players will take roles as Admirals and Politicians that will steer these disparate interests maneuvering to secure Throne. Play will be divided among political phases, strategic combat run using Prefect and tactical level combat run using LANCER. Players will join a faction and take a role within it (depending on the number of players, some players may have to double up roles). Direction of play will depend on player agency. It is entirely possible the game will be a cold war of diplomatic maneuvering and the stockpiling of resources, or the game could be all out free for all warfare.

Though not required, props and costume are more than welcome! You can consider the game a soft LARP but LARP costume and roleplay are not required to participate.

Remember, True Royalty is a continuous cutting motion, REACH HEAVEN THROUGH VIOLENCE.

Things Fall Apart

Sophie Melchior

London. Winter. 1963.

It is a year since the Cold War went hot.

And this was not just a nuclear war.

Far more sinister, darker weapons were deployed from the shadows.

Survival and re-building are all that matter now. But human nature and tragic circumstances mean that everyone has their own ambitions.

...a Government desperate to hold on to what remains of the country.

...military forces who wish to expand their power and influence.

...frightened and brutalised refugees who simply want a place to call home.

Into this maelstrom steps the Special Situations Group, a motley band of men and women tasked with the jobs too dirty or dangerous for anyone else.

'Things Fall Apart' is a Hot War scenario written by Scott Dorward for the Hot War Transmission Issue 2.
