Thanks to the brilliant design efforts of Brynn and Norman we have this slick little number to offer this year.
If you'd like to order one please email kapcon@gmail.com with size and colour (black is the default, looks best with the logo). Cost will be $23-$26 depending on quantity we order.
Order will be placed at the end of the week, get in fast!
Its a little over three weeks to go until the con, and we're into the final stretch. And as always at this time of year, we need more games. While we're doing better than we were this time last year, there are still a lot of gaps in the timetable. And because preregistrations are doing way better than last year, we have a bit of a crunch in the first round.
We need more games. Lots more games. Currently, we have 5 each for the first and second rounds, plus games on demand. That gives us around 25 spaces plus GoD, but they'll fill fast once we open registration. So, if you'd like to run first- or second-round, please submit your game today.
Halloween is coming, and that means its time for Fright Night, Wellington's horror roleplaying con.
When: Halloween (Saturday, 31 October), 16:30 - 23:55
Where: Turnbull House, opposite the Beehive
What: Two sessions of horror gaming
How much: $15 players, $10 GMs
They already have ten games worth of screaming, shivering, crawling horror - register today!
Well, KapCon 18 is over, and we have to wait an entire year till another. Thanks to everyone who came along and made it such a lot of fun, especially our overseas visitors and the LARP team, but not forgetting all our amazing facilitators!
In the meantime, you can look at pictures of the LARP (some more are available here, but you'll need a Facebook log-in to see them), or follow the thread on NZ-RAG where people link to posts about their experiences of the convention. If you've written one, or just want to make some comments, go to the thread and link yours in, we all want to hear what people thought!
Now we have to figure out what (if anything) next year's KapCon will be subtitled!
KapCon is coming;
The games are getting full;
Please pre-register;
Or you'll be a fool.
We mean it - games are beginning to fill up. So please pre-register now!
Wildire LIC producers of CthuluTech and the Framework Engine & Catalyst GameLabs, current producers of BattleTech and ShadowRun are welcomed on board as supporters of KapCon 18!
While we've timetabled 45% of the con so far, we need more games. Lots more games. Including another six for first round. So please, register your game today!
Deep under Wellington, something stirs...
KapCon has been dead but dreaming for the past few months, but is now beginning to stir to life to eat the minds of the puny fleshy things that walk the surface of the earth, never contemplating what horror lurks beneath organise next year's con. The first step: organise the first round GMs. We need to start early because first round game details go in the flyer, which we would like to have out in time for Buckets of Dice (or CONFusion at the latest). So, we're looking for some volunteers. At this stage, all we need is a title, a blurb, and most importantly, a commitment to be there and run. If you can do that, then please email us or chip in on the NZRaG discussion.
