Planet Mercenary – Gotta Start Somewhere

Facilitator:
William Huggins

Starting a mercenary company is hard. Equipment is expensive. Starships are even more expensive. Somehow you get through all that and then no-one wants to hire you because you’re an unknown. But you’ve got bills to pay, so eventually you take a contract that pays just enough to keep the company going, offered by someone just as desperate as you are, and hope you can build your rep along the way.

That’s what brought you to Tealea.

Even with technology that can jump you across the galaxy in a handful of seconds Tealea still manages to be the back end of nowhere. The only people here are trying to get away from galactic civilisation because they think it’s rotten through. Maybe they’re right, but that hasn’t protected them from the pirates. So they’ve scraped together what little they’ve got to pay you to protect them in classic style – by wiping out the other guy.

Planet Mercenary: A Room Full of Boffins

Facilitator:
Will

The Commodore wants a Xenobiologist, despite already having one. To entice this Dr Olipolious, she’s sending Harlequin, her current Xenobiologist, to meet with him and make him a job offer. The offer is so sensitive and secret that they must meet in person, which means Harlequin must leave the relative safety of the Commodore’s over-juiced pocket Battleship despite the enticing price on her head… and go to a science conference.

The conference is aboard an upmarket space station in the middle of nowhere. Conference security is minimal and most of the other scientists won’t be conventionally armed. Your job is simple: take Harlequin to the conference, don’t let anyone kill her, ensure the meet happens in privacy, then escort both Harlequin and Dr Olipolious back to your ship.

Planet Mercenary: Salvage Run

Facilitator:
Taiveraad

The capitol ships need repairs, but the price of materials has skyrocketed. The Commodore doesn’t want to afford it and has decided to turn a few idle ships and crews to the task of looking for salvage during the refit.
That would be you.

She’s had analysts scour the hypernet for every salvage rumour they can find and given you a list. Your freshly recruited crew were rival gangs last week, your fellow officers are… special, and you’re learning first-hand just how much empty the universe has in it. But hey, at least no-one is shooting at you. Right now.

BLU is the Night

The year is 2076. Deep in the heart of Seattle, a secret rivalry between two companies is escalating. Murder, sabotage, theft, and arson are only the beginning. One company, known only by the code-name "Builders' League United", has finally amassed the resources needed to launch a final assault; and that's where you come in.

You are an elite team of Mercenaries, experts in your chosen fields. The nine of you have been hired for a delicate job; somewhere in the headquarters of a powerful company lies a heavily defended safe. The contents... well, you haven't been told what's in it, but your employers are paying you a lot of money to retrieve it for them. Enough that you could all retire and live comfortably for the rest of your lives.

The catch, and there's always a catch: the safe lies deep within the heart of one of the most secure buildings in the city. You'll need to work as a team to pull this one off.
