The End of the World
The End of the World stands out from other RPGs for a few key reasons, most notably the unique approach to Player Characters (PCs). Unlike traditional RPGs where you embody heroic or anti-heroic figures with extraordinary abilities in sci-fi, fantasy, or fictional genres, The End of the World takes a more personal twist. The PCs aren’t just characters you create—they’re based on you.
Essentially, your character becomes a fictionalized version of yourself, and the game world mirrors your real world rather than a far-off realm or alternate universe. (Of course, if you'd prefer not to play as yourself, that’s completely fine—you can still participate by playing as someone you know instead.)
Day Zero - Avalon's Dead Air
It’s a typical sunny day in Wellington, New Zealand. The U.S. election has just concluded, with the President being sworn in amid a backdrop of global political instability and rising national unemployment. Still, as the saying goes, "You can’t beat Wellington on a good day!"
It’s Friday afternoon, and you and your close friends have been invited to the renowned Avalon TV Studios in Lower Hutt. You’re being interviewed about the gaming industry—its current state and where you think it’s headed. Just off-camera, the next group waits their turn with the charismatic TV host, while the faint hum of activity from nearby sound booths hints at other productions in full swing.
Everything seems perfect, almost too perfect… or is it?
YOU WAKE UP.
You sit among trees, lying on soft pine needles.
Your clothes are torn, your hands are scratched. You’re in pain. You don’t know how you got here.
And you don’t know who you are.
There’s a dim, pulsing yellow light at the top of the hill, nearby.
Something is very wrong.
Will you figure out what happened in time to avoid what is coming?
“Kane’s Tone” is a modern cosmic horror scenario.

A lone warrior watches in a wasteland as far as can be seen, his idling trike’s v8 ticking over slowly. A small lizard nearby licks his eyes, scampers forward and is brutally cut in two by the lightning fast reaction of the warrior.
His eyes squint behind dark aviator sunglasses as he pulls up a set of binoculars to focus on a distant dust cloud, blurry forms at first, but then into focus three vehicles in convoy. A vw microbus, a Toyota ute and a v6 mustang.
“Fresh meat” grumbles the warrior and then he lets out a loud whistle. Hidden in the ruins beside him emerge more warriors, some on bikes, others on makeshift carts and a whole pile on a ramshackle truck. The warrior mounts his trike and whistles a second time as the war party rolls out.
A game for a troop of 5 scavengers using the atomic highway system, battling to survive in a harsh post apocalyptic world. Expect intense chases, brutal violence, tough choices in an environment of illogical scarcity. Mood of the game is silly fun (beer and pretzels), but due to mature content R16. Triggers for violence and body dismemberment.
Your team of Colonial Marshals are going to arrest a cult leader on a backwoods colony world and bring him to justice. Obviously these fanatics are dangerous, so you'll need to play it nice and diplomatic to pull this off without... difficulties.
Sure hope nothing unexpected goes wrong on the way!

His neighborhood on the Ports/Bigmosse border has been manipulated into debilitating debt to the Lucky Flight Casino. Pleading and talks have led nowhere, so now he needs the help of extralegal troubleshooters to destroy any record of debt and possibly shut down the casino permanently.
The debt records are held in an offline database, so you're gonna need to find a way into the restricted areas of the casino. Maybe destroy the private power source while you're in there.

Life here isn't always easy. The Mayor controls this city with a tight grip, aided by Agents of the dreaded Corrections Bureau and their faceless Automatons.
There's a war on too, and we all must be vigilant for signs of The Enemy. Their spies could be anywhere, or anyone. But our brave Navy are taking the fight to them and the new fleet about to launch will be the one that finally ends the war. The Mayor says it, so it must be true.
Life in Wartime means some stuff isn't so easy to come by, at least for the likes of you and I. Folks on the East Side never seem to want for much, but that's always the way of things. Prohibition is in force, but you can usually find a drink, if you know the right people.
And of course, you don't want to be outside when the Fog rolls in.
Somebody done stole Cactus Pete's bike! So now, with the help of his friends The Armadillo Man, Gentleman Esteban, Her Majesty and Angry the Dog (an actual dog), he aims to get it back and ain't nobody gonna stop 'em!
The shocking true story behind the hit film!
"Sharky" Baxter rules the East End with an iron fist, aided by his gang of violent psychopaths. But rumour on the street is that his biggest rival, Vince "the Hatchet" Carver is back and out for revenge. Sharky's angry and you don't want to be on his bad side when that happens. You're going to have to get out there and bust some heads, kneecaps, fingers and any other convenient body parts until the truth is revealed.
It's time to bury the hatchet once and for all.
(Basically, if you played Break a Leg and had no idea what it was all about, this might help)
The year is 2076. Deep in the heart of Seattle, a secret rivalry between two companies is escalating. Murder, sabotage, theft, and arson are only the beginning. One company, known only by the code-name "Builders' League United", has finally amassed the resources needed to launch a final assault; and that's where you come in.
You are an elite team of Mercenaries, experts in your chosen fields. The nine of you have been hired for a delicate job; somewhere in the headquarters of a powerful company lies a heavily defended safe. The contents... well, you haven't been told what's in it, but your employers are paying you a lot of money to retrieve it for them. Enough that you could all retire and live comfortably for the rest of your lives.
The catch, and there's always a catch: the safe lies deep within the heart of one of the most secure buildings in the city. You'll need to work as a team to pull this one off.
