Period Costume Examples

The following examples are all scanned from a Dover Edition of Auguste Racinet's "Le Costume Historique", which was first published in 1888.

Note that these are provided as examples to get period feel and flavour only, we don't expect you to exactly duplicate them! Have a look at the Costuming on the Cheape page for some ideas on how to easily and cheaply capture the look and feel of this period
