Shadowrun: Rain

Facilitator:

Ms Johnson needs a job done, she needs you to break into a compound and ‘extract’ someone for her. She is willing to pay well, and doesn’t care if you make a mess doing it. Who knows, maybe this will be the one time you get to unholster your weapon and still sleep at night. Just a shame it’s raining.

The Downtown Data Heist

Facilitator:
Nick Adams

The Sprawl is a game of mission based action in a gritty neon-and-chrome Cyberpunk future. You are the extended assets of vast multinational corporations, operating in the criminal underground, and performing the tasks that those multinationals can't do - or can't be seen to do. You are deniable, professional, and - ultimately - disposable.

In the Downtown Data Heist, the team is assembled to undertake what appears to be a simple case of corporate espionage. But as with all jobs in this dirty world, the danger doesn't end until the money's in the bank.

This Downtown Data Heist is one of The Sprawl's introductory missions previously run by the systems creator, Hamish Cameron, at GenCon, and as such may have been played by a number of people. This session assumes no knowledge of The Sprawl, or Apocalypse World.

Legacy of the Dragons

Facilitator:
Conan McKegg

"In a time that is no longer a time, six warriors fought to save not just our world but all of time itself. Hong Kong blazed as all of history converged on a single point and the Dragons battled to save us all. The battle was brutal and nearly destroyed everything. But when it was over the world was safe. And nobody remembers them because the war never happened..."

In Modern Hong Kong a group of unlikely heroes are about to cross paths and discover the legacy of a war that never happened. Called from across time and space, these heroes have found gateways of power that all lead to Hong Kong in the modern age. But these are not blank slate heroes. They all have their own histories. Enemies. Agendas.

Yet the turn of fate is about to show them that they are part of something bigger. A conspiracy that has survived a war that changed time and reality at its core. Secret factions have been manoeuvring to claim the power of the sites and renew the shadow war that nearly destroyed the world.

Players will get to select from 32 character options, build some of their own history and experience a scenario that will play differently each time based on the combination of characters. Will you be a scrappy kid from the modern day who teams up with an ancient shapeshifting monster lost in time? Or will you be a ghost from the past who has teamed up with a cybernetic warrior from the future?

Feng Shui is a fast paced action game that emulates the classic Hong Kong Action films from Police Story through Hero to Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, as well as embracing classic films like Big Trouble in Little China.

Are you ready to take up the legacy of the Dragons?

The Flint Termination

Facilitator:
Hamish / Anarchangel

When you work in the shadows of the chrome monoliths, you take whatever work that floats down to the streets from the boardrooms and big-data expert systems. Sometimes you're paid to extract a corporate employee from his former employer. Sometimes you have to recover employees who have been newly reemployed by a new employer. Sometimes its data... missing and in need of recovery, or located and in need of appropriation. Every now and then the job's just straight out wetwork.

But the simple ones never turn out to be that simple. Better pack extra stimpatches.

The Sprawl is an apocalypse-powered game of mission-based action in a gritty neon-and-chrome cyberpunk future. You are the extended assets of vast multinational corporations, operating in the criminal underground, and performing the tasks that those multinationals can’t do, or can’t be seen to, do. LARP: 2047

Chicago, 2047.

Charles Hartmann, CEO of Hartmann-Prince Multinational, is having a "get-together" to celebrate the centennial anniversary of Al Capone’s death.

At least, that’s one story. Everyone knows there’s got to be a real reason behind the event: maybe he’s planning to announce something that’ll finally end the technological stalemate with rival company Featherlight, or maybe he’s made a contract with the Chicago Police Department for military-grade cyberware. Rumours are everywhere.

But he won’t be the only one at that gathering, and his guests have announcements of their own. Strange, though, that his favoured researcher isn't on the door list...

Stay Secret, Stay Safe

Crossing the border into Salish-Shidhe territory is not easy under the best of circumstances. Crossing when you’re carrying an item that lights up the astral plane like a phosphorus bomb is even trickier. But the stakes are rising in the fight over magical artifacts that keep finding their way into the Seattle area, and that means the possible payouts are going up as well. If you can play the role of a smuggler to the hilt and make all the right contacts, you have the chance for a serious payday. Of course, you also stand a good chance of making some very powerful enemies, but isn’t that always the way?

The Politics of Deception

Whoever wins the war for the future of the Ork Underground is not going to leave a single weapon holstered. From waging outright violence to employing political subterfuge, both sides in the struggle are willing to use any tactics they can dream of to advance their cause.

Anti-metahuman sentiment has long been a hot-button issue in Seattle, and some members of the Ork Rights Committee have decided to expose one of Governor Brackhaven’s cronies for the racist they believe him to be. The only trouble is, people with a high public profile are usually very careful about keeping up appearances. If the ORC is going to support their accusations of racism, they may need some help in getting—or manufacturing—the evidence they need. That, of course, is where shadowrunners come in.

Open Season!

If the Ork Underground is going to become an official district in Seattle, it’s going to need some cleaning up. Even if it’s not, some of the criminals down there have a pesky habit of bringing their activities to the surface, and plenty of people want them eliminated. Seattle law enforcement has had enough, and ADA Dana Oaks is determined to bring down some of the higher-profile criminals of the Underground—starting with a mob enforcer who goes by the name of Junior.
