The residents of a shantytown in Depression-era Massachusetts find their small community under assault from unknown forces. Working to overcome their own infirmity and the indifference of the authorities, the investigators - residents of the shantytown themselves - need to find out who or what is preying on them before those they hold dear are destroyed.

This is a scenario for Call of Cthulhu 7e by Scott Dorward. The players take the role of pre-generated investigators who work together, risking their sanity and wellbeing to solve mysteries

Sea Levels Rising

Facilitator:
Karen Wilson

Childermas Atoll has been gradually eroding into the ocean, but Cyclone Hilda appears to have accelerated its demise. In the aftermath of the cyclone, there has been no contact from anyone on the island. Satellite pictures suggest that Stella Maris Mission and the Happy Squid processing complex are the only major buildings that survived the storm. An Emergency Response team was dispatched by seaplane from Auckland yesterday, but ceased transmitting en route.

Now you are on your way to Childermas. Your official role is to find and assist any survivors and clear the airfield so supplies and emergency personnel can be flown in. But as agents of a secret international taskforce, you are expecting trouble of a different kind.

Quandos Vorn must Die!

A game of vengeance sought sought between the stars, with peculiar cultures and wry humor inspired by the novels of Jack Vance:

Driven heroes will work against a sinister conspiracy as they close upon their goal: the destruction of their nemesis Quandos Vorn!
Vorn's name is feared throughout the Alastor cluster, but the vengeance-seekers each nurture a personal dream of cutting him down. Drawn together by chance or design, they may finally achieve their goal!
They know that his agent is present at the hussade field, but what is his game? How will the agent lead them to Vorn? And what if Quandos Vorn himself has come to watch his handiwork, but should pass unrecognised? It must not be so!

NB This game uses the DERPG Tagline system: players will be rewarded when they integrate specific witty comments into their banter.

The Collectors Institute: Miranda's Rules

Facilitator:
Alex Rodgers

As an investigation team for The Collectors Institute, you've recovered weather-control totems from Central American jungle temples, mind-altering Pink Floyd records from music collectors, and supernatural weapons from abandoned Cold War research bases.

So it was probably time that a less glamorous scenario occurred, as contacts are alerting you of strange goings-on in the exotic metropolis of Sheffield. Identification and collection of the Artifact is the main priority, though a chance to be a hero shouldn't be passed up.

Expect a comic, if occasionally creepy game both facing and wielding artifacts of variable power.

Conspiracy X: What's up with Morris?

Facilitator:
Marcus Bone

It began, as it always does, with a phone call. “Mother is ill and requires your assistance…” How it ends, however, is up to you…

What’s up with Morris? is a Conspiracy X adventure in which the characters discover that the “truth is out there” (or maybe not?) Set in the fictional town of Morris, Illinois during the halcyon days of the 1960s, this episode includes strange deaths, UFO sightings, and a sprinkling of conspiracy nuts. The big question for the investigators isn’t exactly who to believe, but rather who not to…

What is Conspiracy X?
Conspiracy X takes place in a world of dark secrets and hidden agendas where the only certainty is nothing is what it seems. The president might not be human, and the sign carrying paranoid on the street corner ranting about CIA mind control satellites may very well be right. In other words, a world just like yours, if you could see beyond the lies.

A combination of X-Files, Fringe and every other alien-hunting, government conspiracy setting you’ve ever read or watched on TV, Conspiracy X sees the players take on roles as agents of Aegis, the front line against and invasion of aliens and the supernatural. It is their actions that protects the world from within and without, often with great sacrifice.

Style of Play?
A story driven game for 3-5 players, it is primarily an investigation and clue-hunting game that throws in a bit of quite deadly combat. Expect handouts, the occasional tactical map and a few stand up figures. It should be noted that this adventure is simply a good old RPG scenario, like the ones you'd likely be playing in the comfort of your own home, and is what the players make it!

No Choice, Pal

Some bonds can't be broken. Bonds forged in mud, under enemy fire, the heart pounding, home just a memory, sharing misery and the frenzy of combat. Your unit was in Afganistan, and then you became mercenaries in Central America. You fought soldiers and terrorists, and the dark creatures that control them: drug dealers, politicians, vampires. You learned about secret wars in the shadows, where nothing is what it seems. And in a world where nothing can be trusted, you trusted each other.

You were one of the lucky ones who made it, and came home when the unit disbanded.

Now the Lt has sent you a message. Four letters long. "Help"

So you're coming. On Greyhounds and Amtrak, you're rolling into town to do whatever it takes to defeat whoever, or whatever, has him up against the wall.

(The game is a SDC sketch by Alasdair Sinclair, being run by Sean Broadley. Despite the veteran characters the game is investigative and character based, rather than being a combat-fest.)

March, 1941. As the German war-machine rolls on, Britain stands alone at the brink. In London and other major centres, the blitz rages and the country hold its breath and waits for the next attack. Though the threat of an imminent invasion may have passed, the country is still under siege, and many fear that it will on be a matter of time before the Nazis arrive.

All of this seems a lifetime away from the picturesque village of Blakely. Here the volunteers of Blakely Home Guard patrol the village and keep a watchful eye out for a German invasion as the country’s last line of defence. Events, however, will soon bring even greater horrors to Blakely and prove that heroes can be found in even the most unlikely of places.
